HUMAN APPEARANCE:
Jack is a tall, spindly, older gentleman with tiny glasses and wild black hair full of gray streaks. It's hard to pinpoint his exact age--he's as old as Halloween and you know what they say, you're only as old as you feel! (He's like in his 60s or smth) You can see artwork of him [HERE]
RESIDENCE:
Jack currently lives alone in Skellington House, a towering mansion on the north side of Goldenrod. It functions as his place of dwelling as well as a bed and breakfast.
He also can be found storing junk in his Rocket dorm. He doesn't sleep there.
OCCUPATION:
-
- Runs a haunted bed and breakfast. (400P a night, comes with a free breakfast for trainers and up to three Pokemon. 800P to stay in a HAUNTED room. If the customer can stay the whole night without being scared off by Jack's ghostly antics, they get a refund as thanks for letting him have fun and a button that says UNSPOOKABLE. Haunted rooms must be booked three days in advance.)

Sad news, everyone.
The time has come to let Mr. Skellington go home. I apped him to this wonderful game in February of 2010. I thought I would have him here forever, but my life is changing and sacrifices have to be made. I've loved playing him off of all of you. He was my first ever RP journal. His is the first app I've ever written. Route 29 is my first journal game. Although I'm still here with Henry and Ralph, Jack is special to me and I know he was special to a lot of you. Who knows, maybe he'll come back some day! Watch your backs during 4th Wall and especially during Halloween. Farewell letters have been sent out.
Thank you again for playing with him!

62 days till Halloween [Video]
[It's early. It's way, way too early, but here's Jack outside in the dawn fog, perched precariously on a ladder and stringing up lights along the eaves of his mansion. The Halloween decorations haven't even been taken down. Why would they be? Of course he's going to address the network!]
Jingle bells! Silver bells!... Bells bells bells! Aha-hah! I can't believe it, it's already here!
[At least he didn't do this on November first, right?]

61 Days till halloween [video / action for the edge of Goldenrod]
[It's a rather lovely afternoon in Goldenrod. On the edge of town people are picnicing in the nice weather, training their pokemon, and introduing their newest additions to their teams. Jack was one of those people. That was until one of the two little green goats he found grazing behind his house two days ago did something new.]
[Something amazing.]
[Something game changing]
[Anybody unfortunate enough to turn on their gears or be within a quarter mile will be treated to near deafening, hyserical screaming.]
IT'S FINALLY HAPPENED!
FINALLY! AHAHA! AHA! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAA!
[Behold a gangly old man haphazardly riding a somewhat-too-small Skiddo that is leaping back and forth across a Ledge. Yes. One of those ledges. The poor leafy goat looks sort of alarmed because her rider is just...screaming. He's not even making words anymore. He's just making loud joyful(???) babbling sounds and possibly crying. Definitely crying.]
FOUR YEARS! Four long years I've been here! I've seen people break bones and nearly lose their lives combating ledges! These God-forsaken land formation are no longer our masters! We can go anywhere!

THE GOATS WILL DELIVER U--whoah!
[He promptly falls off the Skiddo who bounds over to her brother who has been huddling on the edge of the path with Jack's Arbok and Murkrow during this whole...display. Jack doesn't get up he just...lays on the road and laughs at the sky. It's been a long time coming, hasn't it?]
[Eventually Edgar flaps over and retrieves his gear from the road before turning it off with a swift peck.]

60 Days till Halloween [Video]
[The familiar tune and bustle of the Pokemon Center betray Jack's location far before any of the scenery does. He's seated on one of the benches with his gear angled at the tattered and singed jacket clenched in his free hand. His Houndour, One, is tugging on it furiously, even though his trainer isn't putting any gusto into his side of the tug-o-war.]
Look at this beast. Tireless. Absolutely tireless. He's been training all afternoon and still wants to play. I hope everyone is doing well.

[Today is One of Those Days but that isn't going to stop old Jack from trying to reach out. when the feed flickers on it reveals...nothing. There are busy streets behind him rife with general 4th Wall chaos but the gear moves as if it is being carried and not being aimed at anything in particular. It isn't like Jack to cam nothing (except when it is).]
Finally! Yes! Hello! I need some help! I can't seem to--BATS
[The 'gear clatters to the ground, doing several flips. There seems to be no Jack in sight although something is retrieving device from the sidewalk.]
I'm having a horrible time staying corporal and not the good kind of horrible!

[Was somebody standing over there just now? Surely it was just a trick of the light. No. No, it was not. [The old skeleton has been in Johto for four long years. This is nothing new. With all the madness around him, he's determined to have a nice day! Fleshless as ever, yet still dressed in easily identifiable clothes by those who know him, Jack sits at an outdoor Goldenrod cafe table and flips through his 'gear to see what there is to see.]
[His Murkorw, Edgar, perches on the back of the chair across from him and preens herself.]

[The feed opens upon THIS enthusiastically made poster, albeit a little out of focus at first. The day is windy and its edges flap in the breeze.]
Hellooo, everyone! It's finally ready! After all these long months of hard work! In only a week and a half, Skellington House will open to the public! If the mail system has pulled through for me, you should be able to find a poster like this in any poke'mart across Johto! Kanto too!
[The camera flips around to Jack's smiling face. If he grinned any harder, his head would split in two. It's also easy to see that the buildings on the opposite street have been...plastered with the things. He's advertising this harder than the Game Corner.]

[Today's video is not a smiling old man but a large, dark face with enormous watery red eyes. The Yamask, Eric, has gottenhold of Jack's 'gear and is hovering among tarp-strewn walls and boxes of props. Everything that is visible, though, is aptly creepy and rickety and uninviting--just the way a haunted house should look.]

[It's another bright morning in the Skellington Mansion and the feed flicks on to what must be the attic since there are panels of the ceiling missing and sunlight is streaming through. Tools are scattered everywhere and Edgar the Murkrow is making a pest of herself scattering nails. There are piles of plastic tarp rumpled here and there. Anybody living within a block of the house knows construction is still going loud and strong.]
I had a thought. I'd like to provide my guests with something to entertain themselves with besides being frightened of pokemon. I was wondering if anybody had come across any good horror films in this place. I could leave a few in each room for them to choose from.
I had a terrible time trying to find any two years ago but...something good must have come out since then?

[Jack is in much higher spirits this time as the feed opens. He's at home and seemingly in the middle of a construction project if all the leaning, unsanded boards, paint buckets, and piles of plastic are anything to go by.]

[It's evening when Jack appears on the Network for the first time in quite a while. The purple-roofed houses behind him make it obvious as to where he is. He looks tired but also frustrated. There are no smiles on this pumpkin.]
I've arrived safely. Forgive me for not checking in sooner, but I've been in Lavender Town for a day or so no. I have to say, I never expected this amount of unrest in the air. It's absolutely oppressive. The spirits here are not happy.

I'd so hoped my arrival would be happier. I have wanted to visit this town since I arrived three long years ago.

I decided to take the train instead of walking and I'm glad I did! I've never ridden anything that went so fast! I do plan on walking to Lavender in a few days, though. I'm curious to see what Kanto has to offer.

[The feed flickers on to show THE WILDERNESS. Specifically, the outskirts of Goldenrod. The camera is jarring slightly as Jack walks. He's already puffing slightly. It's been a while since he's stretched his legs somewhere besides pavement.]
Today's the day! I'm getting out of that stuffy house and making my way to Lavender Town. Why...I don't think I've even been to another town since I arrived in Goldenrod years ago. This is so exciting!
Needless to say, Drama classes will be canceled and if anyone needs to send me anything, forward it to Ecruteak. Wish me luck!
