ATTENTION EVERYONE!

It has come to my attention that people do not understand the threat that Ledges pose. I have enclosed a photo and some helpful information with this post. I hope it is helpful.

WELL ITS ABOUT TIME, JACK )

// ACTION TAKING PLACE AFTER THE BATTLE. Feel free to message or walk up to him!//

[Jack sits on one of the many benches in the Violety City Pokemon Center. Hindenburge drifts around his head babbling (or “Floon! Floon!”-ing) about the battle excitedly. In the seat next to him is the egg he was given nestled down in Jack’s coat.

He holds his chin in his hands and stares thoughtfully at the tile between his feet while his birds are in back getting fixed up. You’d think a winner would look happier! ]

[The feed opens on a slightly groggy but rather excited Jack cradling something round and darkly colored in the crook of one arm as he holds the 'Gear.

He's been scanning the comm and has seen that everyone else has received a surprise along with their gifts. HOWEVER Edgar the Murkrow who is on his shoulder doesn't look too pleased about the new arrival. It was a threat. Something that was going to receive more attention than her. CHRISTMAS BE DAMNED! Doc the Hoothoot manning the other shoulder wows the entire universe by actually looking interested in something for once.]

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas! I want to thank everyone for all the gifts! I'm so glad nothing bad happened this year!

Er-- I've got a question though. I've never taken care of an egg before...I know they're supposed to stay warm-- I've seen buzzards sitting on eggs. But uh...I'm not sure Doc and Edgar are big enough.

And I think Edgar might want to eat it....

quickattackjack: (i could die laughing)
[The video opens with...a blurry screen. It looks like somebody has fogged up the 'Gear's lens or spritzed it with water. THEN ALL GOES BLACK and lots of annoying creaky plastic sounds assault your ears. When the picture clears, all is revealed!

It's day time. People are playing in the snow and laughing on the other side of the Violet cafe windows. BUT ALL IS NOT WELL IN THIS WINTER WONDERLAND.

Have a very...unhappy looking Jack squinting at you. His nose has gone red, his eyes are puffy, and his hair looks like he's been attacked by a rabid pikachu. He is wearing no less than three sweaters and they are all fugly. The Pumpkin King has caught his very first cold. D'awww. ]

Hhhkhhg--I'll give-- I'll give anyone who brings me some cold medicine one of my potions. Or lunch. And my undying appreciation. I'll name my next Pokemon after you this is dreadful!

O-oh before I fhhggorget! Minni Mouse! I have your Christmas gift!

There was something else but I forgo'd what I was talking about--

[The screen is suddenly covered by an explosive sneeze. Classy.]
quickattackjack: (grumpy)

[ Anybody kicking around in Violet is bound to stumble upon THIS sorry sight if they're anywhere near the Tower bridge. He hasn't moved in...quite a while actually. Boohoo.]
quickattackjack: (crafty old man)
[Boop!  Today, Jack's feed focuses on a much more alert and determined face than his last video. His pokemon are healed, his spirits are high, and he is ready to prove to everyone that he is totally not zubatshit insane! Behind him looms the Sprout Tower, silhouetted by the sinking sun.]

Good mor--er afternoon! I have finally made it to the tower! It reminds me of home so much. The ghosts inside are going to point me the way home, but if I find a way back, I'll definitely visit! You have all been such wonderful company and great help! Edgar, are you ready?

[The Murkrow pops into the frame with her GAME FACE on. She has no idea what Jack's babbling about but she's seen some ratatta rustling around the grass at the tower's base and she's ready to go kick some purple rodent ass. "KROW!"]

Everyone take care!

[Oh, he'll be back....]
quickattackjack: (crafty old man)
[Jack's Poke'Gear is being held aloft in true Myspace Emopic fashion, but it shows no moody teenager with their hair brushed over one eye. Instead, the old king is grinning ear to ear. His hair is ruffled, a leaf is stuck to the side of his face, and his glasses are crooked. The inside of the Pokemon Center can be seen behind him.]

Good morning! How is everyone? Look who joined us early this morning!

[He shifts a little, angling the camera so that it can see a VERY grouchy looking Hoothoot tucked under Jack's free arm. This Hoothoot fucking hates EVERYTHING.]

Isn't he great? I named him Doc. Edgar and I heard him just outside of town, and since Phoenix has invited us to go traveling with him soon, I thought it'd be best to catch him while I had the chance. He makes GREAT sounds! Doc, say hello!

[The Poke'Gear is given a venomous glare. "Hoot." Jack looks a little disappointed. That wasn't the hellscream they'd heard at three this morning!]

[The video is very shaky and blurry at first but eventually focuses on...Jack's hand. There is a thin cut stretching across his palm which bleeds freely. Behind it is the beach.]

This is the most amazing thing! Look! Look at this! I can feel the nerves firing off and-- everything! Wow! Hah!

...ow.

I cut it on this--

[He tilts the Poke'Gear down to show a bit of broken seashell in the sand by his feet. Edgar is nowhere to be seen.]

quickattackjack: (Default)
[The feed cuts in on a much clearner, much happier, and well rested looking Jack. He is leaning back on one of the Center benches and holding the Poke'Gear high above him, grinning ear to ear. The bandage that was over his nose was gone.]

We made it! We're in Cherrygrove and we're still alive! Aren't we, Edgar?

[The Pokegear flips around to show the Murkrow, fast asleep on Jack's knees, with her head under her wing.]

That means yes. We owe it all to Snake who...should be around here somewhere! After we learn our way around, we are going to start training. It looks like I've been going about this Pokemon thing all wrong. I don't think my spine can do with another stranglehold.

We'll be around!
quickattackjack: (Default)
[The camera is pointed at a road stretching into the distance. It's also right side up. This is an improvement! It's mid-morning. Jack can be heard wheezing lightly and the Poke'Gear wobbles just a little since he's leaned over with a hand on one knee.]

Good morning! What you're looking at is a day and a half of road! According to my map, we're a day and a half away from a place called Cherrygrove. And then, maybe a week from the tower. I'd like to thank everyone who gave me such helpful information! I owe each of you. Any and all hints on the whereabouts of a graveyard are still welcome! Let's see...

[Jack points the Poke'Gear to the road ahead.]

Path-- looks good. It's been kind of a lonely walk.

[The camera flips around to reveal an upside down Jack.]

Nose-- still busted. Anyone know how long these take to heal?

[The 'Gear is turned again to focus on Edgar who his hoping along side Jack. She croaks to him.]

Edgar-- actually a girl! I'm so sorry, Edgar!

quickattackjack: (ic)
[The Poke'Gear, being held sideways, reveals the face of an older gentleman with trees behind him It's evening. There is a big white plaster over the bridge of his nose and an even bigger frown situated below it.]

Hello?

This is important! The ledges here are cursed somehow! Has anyone else noticed this? There has to be a very powerful witch behind all this.

[Jack's brows drift up at the thought of that. He adjusts his glasses.]

I would love to meet them! Strangest thing...I haven't encountered a single ghoul since arriving. Can anyone point me to a graveyard? I'm on a road called Route 29...I wouldn't suggest 46. At all. It's that way.

[Jack turns the Poke'Gear towards a mountainy road. His Murkrow, Edgar, who is also sideways, is tugging at a blade of grass next to the path.]

If you see a tree that looks like that, just turn around. Turn around and walk very very far away. It's not worth it.
