[The video is very shaky and blurry at first but eventually focuses on...Jack's hand. There is a thin cut stretching across his palm which bleeds freely. Behind it is the beach.]

This is the most amazing thing! Look! Look at this! I can feel the nerves firing off and-- everything! Wow! Hah!

I cut it on this--

[He tilts the Poke'Gear down to show a bit of broken seashell in the sand by his feet. Edgar is nowhere to be seen.]

[He bows slightly.] My apologies if I startled you-- [Not quite expecting the sudden HAND ON HIS FACE, but eh, he's seen far worse.] Have you disinfected that wound yet?

... And, if you do not mind my curiosity, what do you mean when you say you haven't had skin in a long time?

[Jack retracts his hand and watches it, listening distractedly.]

I mean just that, sir. I'm supposed to be a skeleton. Unless you count the marrow, we don't bleed. It's such an interesting sensation...but I think I would like it to stop now.

[He slides his pack off his shoulder and gets to work on that.]

A skeleton...? [Well, he did talk to an alleged goddess just the other day... and he IS in a country filled with colourful egg-laying mammals...]

... In any case, not many would describe the sensation as "interesting".

[Jack glances up from wrapping a poke'ball patterned bandage around his palm.]

As far as I know, I'm the only person from my town to, eh, un-die? I'm sort of blundering into the great unknown. There we go.

[He's satisfied with his wound dressings. Which looks like what would happen if you gave a kindergartner a roll of scotch tape.]

I'll stop by the Pokemon Center later, I guess. I've got to learn how to do this on my own. The next city is almost a week's walk away.
