That was a close one...I think. I think this year I'd like...a quiet holiday. And maybe hiking boots.

What is Christmas? Is that a holiday from this world?

It's a holiday in several worlds from what Iv'e gathered! They celebrate it here but I've met plenty of people who didn't have it at home.

Everyone gets together during the winter and enjoys one another's company and exchanges gifts! There's singing and eggnog and lights and you have to have a Christmas tree if you want to do it right!

[ hm. he's intrigued. his birthday is christmas but he has no idea that christmas is a thing; not yet, anyway. ]

A tree? Just... to have? Do they plant it? [ that sounds stupid but he can't bring himself to react with complete dickbaggery to jack's enthusiasm so he's just frowning ]

Oh, no, some people go chop one down and bring it home to decorate, but most people use fake ones these days. It's easier to clean up and they're less likely to catch on fire.

[corporal]

Fake trees? Why would— [ for decorating the house, okay, that makes sense. but the whole tree thing on its own is weird, really he can't keep asking questions or it'll spiral into an abyss and he'll end up more confused ]

That sounds ridiculous. What day is this holiday? [ maybe levi needs to acquire a tree ]

Ah! I misunderstood! Well, Christmas Eve is on the 24th and then Christmas Day is on the 26th. Most people celebrate both days!
