57 days till Halloween [voice]

[Today's transmission is short and sweet. The background noise is running water and the light clacking of plates against one another.]

[Jack's having one of those realizations that crop up out of the blue and just has to share it with the world. He sounds worried.]

Just how old do you think we newcomers can get in this place?

[There's a short pause before the feed ends that suggests he wants to add something else but he doesn't.]

...That would depend on our current age and how long we can be kept in this world in the first place, I imagine. Our original species might also influence that.

Ah. That would complicate matters.

[If he saying what Cecil thinks he's saying.]

Can you estimate your... non-expired body's current age? Or recall any changes to it since you arrived?

Those could simply be due to stress, but still... There's a possibility you can reach the same age the eldest citizens of this world can achieve, but I've no idea what it is. Then again, they die while we cannot, so you could also grow much older.

.....You know it's something I've wondered about myself.

Though I don't know if I'm even aging here. It's hard to tell.

We'd need an elderly person who arrived long ago and will stay here even longer to test that. Along with information about local longevity records, if it's available. But I've not seen either of those during my stay here.
haveyouseenalittlegirl: (No we can't go there)

That...brings up a few other questions about this place then.

It is something to think about.

[Or worry about. Either or.]

And I suppose there hasn't been new people around here long enough to have an answer just yet.

I'm not certain whether to congratulate you or offer my condoleances.

[He sighs.]

I'm definitely one of the ten earliest remaining arrivals by this point, but as I've looked fifteen years younger than I am for quite some time, I'll be of little help for this. Unless this world somehow accelerates my aging.
haveyouseenalittlegirl: (Cheryl what are you doing?)

No.

Though I suppose I'll have to admit she's a grown up one of these days.

[Heather herself doesn't help matters.]

If we knew more about how we were brought here, there might be more answers to your questions...

This could be a pleasant little meeting... or an extremely depressing reunion. We'd have to include drinks and food, to fit both of those possibilities.
haveyouseenalittlegirl: (I think it's broken)

You'd think, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Or at least they're not sharing with the rest of us.

A Dead Man's party? I've no doubt it was a lively occasion.

[Cecil no.]

[That's... actually a really good question. Is there an age limit? At first Riku stares silently at the camera, tapping his chin. Then a thought pops into his head.]

Well, I remember bumping into this one old timer. He was bald, wrinkly, and the only hair on his face was a grey beard. Spoke with this gravelly voice, too. I figure he couldn't have been any younger than seventy.

[But that's just a guess. Either way, he stood out considerably compared to all the teens and kids running around.]
