35 days till Halloween [video/action]

_{[Anybody passing by the Goldenrod Breeding Center will notice the front yard of the property is a horror scene of guts and flesh--pumpkin guts and flesh that is!]

[Jack is sitting in a folding chair enjoying the sunshine and elbow-deep in a pumpkin, scraping it out for carving. He's got his sunglasses pushed up on his forehead and a huge grin on his face. There are dozens surrounding him, most of them carved, each face more twisted than the last. His pokemon, Edgar the Murkrow, and One the Houndour are chasing each other around through the carnage.]

[He's got his 'gear in his free hand, holding it awkwardly because pumpkin goo has made it slippery .]}

How is everyone today? We're halfway to Halloween! Well...almost halfway. Anyway, I'm warming up my carving skills because I haven't done it in over a year. I'm open to requests! Just go easy on me, I'm rusty.

Jack-o-lanterns!

_{[Jack holds up one with a rather unpleasent, puckered expression.]}

Heh, having a countdown to Halloween already? [He looks amused, regardless. Kaede would start up the countdown about now too, actually!]

Hmm... how about a scary tiger face? [Some of those twisted faces are totally passing over his head and yeah, "Wild Tiger" has no idea what he's in for, does he?]

_{[Jack nods and starts working without a word. He balances the 'gear on the arm of his folding chair and turns the pumpkin towards it every time he cuts out a new shape so that he could see.]

[And soon, it's done! He turns the jack-o-lantern towards the gear one last time to reveal a stylized screaming wildcat face.]}

I haven't seen many tigers but-- I think I got pretty close!

[Kotetsu will definitely be quiet and let him work, watching curiously until the pumpkin is turned and he jumps a bit in in his chair.]

Oh whoa, that's great! Perfect!

Haa, I'm not sure I'll make it all the way to Goldenrod before Halloween, but I'll keep it in mind!

...That's a lot of pumpkins.

_{[Jack can't help but look a little proud.]}

[Man, he can't remember the last time he carved a pumpkin.]

Pretty impressive. Very Hieronymus Bosch meets HR Geiger meets... I dunno, Ghostbusters or Beetlejuice, maybe.

_{[Jack tilts his head. Only one of those names sounds sort of familiar. Whatever a ghostbuster was, he didn't think he'd like it very much.]}

Oh, that? No, I just thought I'd try my hand and see if I still remembered how. It's been a whole year!

You've been here an entire year? Jeez.

[He's heard of people being in Johto that long before, but he'd hoped it might be a bit rarer to stick around that long.]

Still feels kind of weird hearing about Halloween at all, here. The rest of it's kind of alien, most of the time.

You are making Jack-o-Lanterns, desu? I have never ah, carved a pumpkin before, but I have seen it done, desu. It looks very messy, desu...!

[But curious rozen maiden is curious... Even if some of them have been pretty frightful in the past.]

Yup! Ha-ha, it is, that's why I'm doing it outside. I started in the kitchen, but it turned into a huge mess. The wildlife out here should take care of that for me.

Are you excited about Halloween?

Do you save the seeds, desu? I have heard that they are quite tasty when prepared, desu.

[She could well imagine that the kitchen would have looked like a horrible mess, she's seen her fair share of messed up food preparation areas (And maybe had a hand in them).]

I believe I am looking forward to it, desu. It will be my first celebration here in Johto, and it has been a very long time since I got to see Halloween celebrated, desu.

[Suiseiseki wasn't even sure what to expect beyond jack-o-lanterns thanks to this feed, so she's may be a little nervous as well.]

Oh, no, I found them in the market. Though...I should try and grow some for next year. If I still live here that is. I might be moving around again by planting season...but who knows?
