22 days till Halloween [video]
[Hey there, Johto! It’s been a while since we’ve seen the old Pumpkin King. His mun is a sickly weenie forgive her. He’s holding the ‘gear up so that we get a good look at a very…surprised looking Jack.
If one looks a little longer, they may notice he’s not actually that surprised.
It’s just that both his eyebrows are missing.]
Hello! How is everyone? I have a question for anyone who keeps fire pokemon since One is my first.
[The camera is angled down to a chipper little Houndour. He’s wagging his nubby little tail and standing in a scorched circle. Edgar perches behind him on a town bench. Her tail is gone and she is not impress.]
I want him to be proud of himself but…how do I explain that catching everything on fire is not okay outside of battle? It's his new favorite game.

Maybe he'll just grow out of it?
Re: [video]
I sure hope so! He IS pretty young...

[Because while neither Cujo NOR Carousel did this on a regular basis... Heather was kind of worried that they'd start.]
Have you tried to explain it to him verbally?
A little too close to his face. I've tried calling him back to his poke'ball too. I hope it's just a puppy thing. My old dog couldn't breathe fire though...
If he continues, do not give him the attention he will be seeking. He should eventually learn that you are not wanting him to use his attacks outside of battle.
Hmmm...
You should reward a well behaved pokémon for their behavior, and punish the badly behaved. For example, you can praise your pokémon when they use their fire in a battle, but reprimand them when they do it outside.
Maybe a little pinch here and there, it has worked fine so far with all my pokémon.
Someone suggested using a water pokemon, but I've just got a Magikarp...do you suppose a squirt bottle would work?

[Le shudder!]
[She involuntary glances at her bandaged arms before nodding] ... that's a REALLY good idea.
[He laughed at that, honestly amused.]
I wonder if every one of this species is like that.
[;-; Oh please say it does stop.]

Re: [video]
a fire breathing puppy...

I've got a Magikarp! I never thought of that! Thank you!

Oh, it's not a problem at all. It's only the right thing to do, after all.
Sirius never does anything like that, so...you're on your own on this one, Jack.
Thanks, buddy!
[D'awwww, Jack, don't be sore!]
Anytime. [A grin, and a sneeze.]
By the way, Jack...are you still in Violet?
[BECAUSE GUESS WHO JUUUST GOT THERE? 8DD]
Yes, I'm still here. Since Dash got her badge, we should be moving out soon, but I haven't gotten word as to when...
Perhaps try teaching him how to light fire... in a useful way?
Lighting campfires sounds very useful, though! And with that, maybe he'll reach his limit.
I'll try that!
