21 days till Halloween [text + attached image]

ATTENTION EVERYONE!

It has come to my attention that people do not understand the threat that Ledges pose. I have enclosed a photo and some helpful information with this post. I hope it is helpful.

FACTS ABOUT LEDGES:

-You can jump off of a ledge.
Most ledges are not very high. You can descend from one part of a path to another with few problems if your balance is good and your knees are still in-tact.

-You can NOT climb a ledge.
You will die. Injury is very likely and death is possible!
[ ^hasty edit is hasty! Jack has started to feel sort of goofy...but stubborn as ever!]

I HOPE THIS WILL BENEFIT PEOPLE IN THE FUTURE.

Sincerely,

Jack Skellington

..."You will die".

Really?

Indeed, but... Considering the average height of these ledges, the only conceivable way they would kill someone would be if said someone fell in a particularly unfortunate manner.

... That being the case, I suppose that jumping off of a ledge would be just as dangerous as climbing one.

[Oh Dash. That scamp.]

You'd think they'd learn.

[EVEN HEATHER LEARNED. And she's.... HEATHER.]

[Koschei hums softly.]

And yet you doubt their ability to be careful and show a modicum of intelligence away from home.

...Well, at least it's not as much of an exaggeration.

[small smile] But I guess if you wanted to tell people not to climb the ledges, scare tactics work just as well.

Have any of them been the same person making the same mistake?

[voice]

[identity profile] hypnotises.livejournal.com 2011-01-06 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Then the people making the mistake have learnt. [His dismissal of the problem is evident in his tone.]

That's just annoying.

...Huh. Halloween Town?

[That's a new one.]

That was why I said it.

Aha, I see. [Tiny little smirk. Well, hey, judging from people's responses, it's raising ledge awareness, at least. Mission accomplished?]

I can't disagree that this place is strange. You'd think physics wouldn't stop you from climbing something as a shortcut if that was your thing, but I guess in a game, you have to play by the rules, no matter how ridiculous they are.

...Unless there's a loophole somewhere we haven't found yet.

Death is possible.

I wasn't aware of that. Most informative.

There's a lot of people who'll tell you Pokemon exists in some worlds as a video game.

So if you want to put it that way, I suppose so.
