It's not as good as Halloween, but it's still a fine holiday. Do you have any plans? There's really no wrong way to do Christmas, now that I thin of it...

Dunno, really. Guess I'll have to start gettin' stuff together for the few people left that I give a damn about around here.

Christmas can be hard when it turns out like that, yes...I'm missing a few friends this year as well.

...This place ain't really the same without Saber. Same goes for Diarmuid too, really. [With an irritated sigh, Lancer folded his arms.] I'm starting to think I should just get out of here and pick up traveling again for a while. I'm not in the best mood for some warm and fuzzy holiday shit.

A chance of scenery always seems to help me. Have you been to Kanto?

We're from the same world--more or less. Details.

I've been once or twice. Not in a hell of a long while, though.

Saffron was a good visit. Lavender Town was pretty disappointing, though. So many unhappy ghosts.

I've heard about it, so I'm not too eager to go. I learned a long time ago not to screw around with spirits and things like that.

They weren't malicious exactly. Not like the ones in Sprout Tower. I wound up taking six of them home with me. But if you want a good chance of scenery, Saffron's the way to go. I think I'll be keeping my roots in Goldenrod this year, though.

I'll think about it. Traveling might be a nice change, but on the other hand it'll be tough to leave Goldenrod after so long.

It is a little strange at first. The change in background music is jarring to say the least.

I don't even notice the music anymore. I'm not sure if I've been in Goldenrod too long or just here too long.

It could be a little of both. How long have you been with us?

Tell me, Lancer, what sort of world do you come from?

Eh...tough to say, really. It's just 'normal' to me, so I can't really begin to describe it. 'The type of world with magic', I suppose would be a good place to start.

Magic, that is a good start. Mine's full of dead people and monsters.

We got those too. Hell, we even got some people that double as both at once.

You must miss it very much.

Eh...sometimes. I've been away from home for a long time, so I'm sure it's changed nearly beyond recognition.

But even if I got out of here, I couldn't really go back. So I'm pretty much accepted this being as close to 'home' as I'm gonna get.

I wouldn't be so sure. I've been told when people are sent home, it's as if they've never left. To be honest, it's the only thought that's kept me sane these long years. But it's always good to be able to adapt and move on too.

That's kinda the problem for me. If I go back, I'm dead. And I mean the permanent kind.

Oh. Well. That can be a problem. I'm glad you get to spend the holidays here in flesh and blood.
