Good afternoon, everyone! I actually have a request for you today. You see, I'm looking for a pokemon with Trick Room. Or perhaps the move Trick Room by itself.

I actually don't think I've heard of that one. What's it do?

I don't know the fine details of it, but from what I understand it distorts the speed of pokemon in the battle area.

Really? That's different...sounds like the kind of thing you'd have to be careful with.

Maybe a little. I intend on using it for more theatrical purposes if I can get my hands on it.

I'm going to open a haunted bed and breakfast. If Trick Room does what I think it will do, imagine how entertaining simply walking down the hallway will be!

I have no idea, but I didn't expect 'haunted bed and breakfast' to be anybody's priority.

Well, I'm not sure what else to do with a big empty mansion besides fill it with ghost pokemon and allow people to see if they can brave the entire night.

I've never ran across it in the Goldenrod stores, but I haven't looked for it specifically since the idea came to me. I haven't had the chance between work and drawing up plans.

My team knows Wonder Room and Magic Room, but not Trick Room. What type of move is it?

From what I've read, it distorts the speed of the pokemon on the battlefield. What do those moves do? They sound like they could be useful as well!

It distorts their speed...? That would be very useful for the slower ones. Magic Room blocks items and their effects, while Wonder Room inverts the defenses of all Pokémon present. All three moves are related, it seems.

Hmm, since I'm not really looking to use it for battle, I guess those moves won't work for what I have in mind after all. Thanks for telling me about them though.

What are you trying to achieve with it, then? Not winning races and other competitions, I hope.

Well, no, I'd like for them to be able to leave if it was too scary for them.

They'd find themselves leaving much more slowly than they hoped, then.

I'll have to see how the move works outside of battle then. I don't want to hinder anyone, I just thought the distortion would disorient guests and add to the fright factor. Sort of a fun-house that serves you breakfast.

If that's the effect you're hoping for, you might be better served with a weaker confusion effect, if that's possible.

I hadn't considered Confusion!

You'd have to ensure that they cannot harm other guests, but otherwise it would work.
