I've been thinking...I know it's a bit of a touchy subject, but I spoke to several of you some time ago who were dead before you arrived? What would you all think of a little fall congregation here in Goldenrod next month? We could have dinner and swap stories. N-not on Halloween itself, because...

...oh! And you living folks are perfectly welcome as well! Every dead person was a living person at one point or another! Sometimes multiple points... Anyhow!

What is it that made you pick Goldenrod for this particular festival, might I ask? Wouldn't Ecruteak be more fitting?

I'm afraid I've become something of a homebody. I live here in Goldenrod. I had originally considered hosting it in Lavender Town, but that's a bit of a distance for a little get-together.

But perhaps that's all the more reason to travel, then. When you have a fine excuse for it.

I'll have to think about it. Perhaps, if things go well, I can host it in a new place next year!

There's not much I can do about that. This will be my third Halloween here.

It took quite a bit of getting used to. How long have you been with us?

In a few days it will be fifteen months. Certainly not a comparable length of time as three Halloweens, but still far longer than I'd have preferred.

Maybe the strangeness that brought us here will be kind to you this autumn. That's the thing about this place. You never know when you'll go home. Or come back.
