I've been thinking...I know it's a bit of a touchy subject, but I spoke to several of you some time ago who were dead before you arrived? What would you all think of a little fall congregation here in Goldenrod next month? We could have dinner and swap stories. N-not on Halloween itself, because...

I have been dead for a very long time. It isn't so bad--at least not where I'm from. We never stopped existing, we simply lived somewhere else.

I don't...know. We never worried about it. I can tell you that it was a lot better than being covered in skin. Eyeballs are one of the most inconvenient things I've encountered in this place.

Oh, that was ages ago. I hardly remember being human. I'm quite sure I've been dead far longer than I've been alive.

Oh, I'm human. I mean, I was human. Back home. I recently died there, so... I guess I'm kind of stuck here.

No, I'm not. I know time works weirdly here, but apparently quite some time has passed in my world since I... you know.

[He pauses, but after a moment he brightens up.]

But it's alright - I died trying to stop this guy's plan, and in the end he was stopped. Everything turned out alright.

Then perhaps this place is a sort of reward. Aside from the occasional hiccup, it seems a nice enough world! If you don't count the, ah, terrorist attacks and whatnot. Occasional possession. Ledges.

Nowhere's perfect.
