NOTE
Edgar was Jack's first Pokemon partner. She spends a lot of time exploring the path or resting on Jack's shoulder, watching the people on the Poke'Gear's screen. She has hit that 'teenager stage' and has become quite bold in battle. When facing ratatta and bug-type pokemon, she gets excited because they are the pokemon she faced during level grinding early on.

She has a scratch on her beak from getting it stuck inside a tin can.

NOTE
Jack captured Doc outside Cherrygrove at night in a last, wild struggle to capture one of the 'spooky' pokemon since he would be leaving soon. The battle involved a steep hill and a creek. Doc's huge orange eyes are always half lidded and he seems to be disgusted with the world at large. Doc is VERY aggressive in battle and only obeys commands that Jack yells angrily. It worries his trainer.

Heather originally gave Jack the derp-eyed little pokemon to clear space in her team. Though he's fully evolved, Dennis is still fairly young. He likes to put things in his mouth--like people. His eyes don't point in the same direction and this throws off his accuracy. But when he hits, he hits like a mofo.

NOTE:
One was Jack's Christmas egg and took quite a while to hatch. He was thrilled to find that he had gotten A PUPPY FOR CHRISTMAS OH GOD FOR REAL. He named him One after his old dog, Zero. One comes after Zero, naturally.

One isn't afraid of anything and enjoys setting things on fire because the sounds Jack makes are THE BEST.

Bram was captured in Union Cave while he and his traveling buddy, Rainbow Dash, were talking about how homesick they were. When the flock of zubat flew overhead, Jack HAD to have one. They reminded him so much of the misty skies of Halloween Town. Bram is fairly young and chill. He's got a bit of a smuggy smug face goin' on.

Jack caught Hindenburg on the way to Violet when a whole fleet of them floated over Johto. He was very excited to learn this purple creature was a 'ghost' pokemon. However once he got to know Hindenburg, he learned that the little pokemon isn't...that scary. Jack is very disappoint and doesn't train him often. It sure thinks the world of him though and lives for praise!

About: Heather is Jack's buddy! She's so spirited and she always makes Jack laugh. She's stuck by him when his friends Went Home and has tolerated his wide-eyed nature regarding the world around him like a BAWSS considering she's from a not-so-happy place and sort of killed God. But shh, Jack doesn't know that. He just thinks she's a spunky kid who would be awesome at rolling yards on Halloween.

About: Jack is happily oblivious to the fact that Crow thinks he just might be nuts. He looks to him for battling advice since this guy always seems to know his stuff! He also picks on Jack off and on, though it's always in good fun. Jack doesn't mind a little ribbing and is happy to retort with some out-of-left-field gruesome facts. He wants to meet Crow in person one day and battle him!

About: After hanging upside down from a tree branch with Cooper for a few hours, Jack decided he liked him very much. He's a fellow man of government and has a sense of curiosity that Jack can dig. Coop is seemingly unfazed by discussion of the macabre but seems...secretive somehow. He can listen to Jack yammer for ages but hardly says a word about himself. Hmm.

He introduced Jack to chocolate cake. God bless Dale Cooper.

3 days till Halloween [video/ action for those near Cherrygrove]

[CLOVERFEILD SHAKY-CAM, AWRIGHT! The Poke'Gear is pointed at the tiny town of Cherrygrove which, right now, looks like a bunch of legos in the distance. It's the middle of the day. The feed is very wobbly because Jack is stumbling. Like a huge doofus, he did not sleep last night and traveled the whole time. He hasn't stopped to eat, catch Pokemon, or even battle very much. Now he's starting to pay for it. Jack is still a newbie to this whole 'human limits' thing.]

Look, Edgar!

[He stops walking and wheezes. The Murkrow hops into the frame and looks back at her trainer, worried. "Krowh?" ]

I told you plowing right on through would work! We've saved a whole half-a-day! I want to thank everyone again for being so helpful. And think--just another week and we can look at that tower...Edgar! Look! It's a Whoot-Whoot like Zack told us about! What's it doing out in the middle of the day? Let's catch it!

[Edgar looks back at a stump with some charred bits on it that MIGHT have looked like a Hoot Hoot's strange ear tufts. What.]

Edgar, use Peck!

[When Edgar doesn't attack the stump, Jack comes to the only logical conclusion.]

It must already be knocked out! This is our lucky day!

[Jack hurls a pokeball at the stump. It bounces off and lands in some bushes. Sleep deprivation and stress are fun!]
