[A rather distressed Jack. He's sitting on the center of the rug surrounded by open movie rental boxes and sorting through them like a mad man. The remote sits off to the side and the flatscreen is playing credits from the last disaster he's pre-screened. Some cornsyrup happy gorefest called Crockagnaw 2. Jack doesn't look well. There are dark circles under his eyes (even more so...considering he's like...a dead guy) and his hair isn't tied back. It is fucking EVERYWHERE. He's punching away furiously at his 'gear and broadcasting his findings.]}

Can ANYONE out there reccommend me a good horror movie? I've watched over thirty eight and they all SUCK. _{[Thanks again, Barney, for teaching him that word.]} Come on, Johto! You're killing me! Flying Type? Honestly?

_{[He holds up a sun-faded box with an ominous Pidgeotto silhouetted against a rooftop on the cover.]}

I admit, Used Revive had potential but....hhhhhhhgggggghh!

_{[He gives in and flops backwards, giving the 'gear a good shot of the ceiling light fixture.]}

This movie night is going to be a disaster. I know it. It's not going to be a horror fest. It'll be a comedy show.

[ Souji is just exiting his bedroom. La da de dum. Just heading over to the kitchen now to grab a glass of water. Just going to pass through the living room since it's on the way and-- ]

[ Who is this hobo in his house? ]

[ Oh, no, that's just Jack who looks even more hoboish than usual. ] Are you alright, Skellington-san? [ You look really dead... ]

_{[Jack rolls his eyes up to spot Souji. He groans and drags an open DVD box over his face so that his landlord cannot see the SHAAAME in his eyes. He'd brought it upon himself to host a movie night. Baww.]}

My life is over.

_{[Dramatic, much?]}

[ Don't worry... Souji's whole house is filled with wacky people so this is nothing new... kinda. Well, Souji looks over to all the DVDs surrounding Jack. Oh, they're horror movies? ]

[ A short pause. ] Are they that scary, or just that bad?

They're absolutely dreadful.

And not the good kind of dreadful. The dreadful kid. Where you dread them. I can't show the house these films. You'd think one out of thirty some odd would be good. Or maybe I'm just old fashioned and don't get them.

_{[He gropes around blindly and holds up a box with a menacing looking Magikarp on the cover. It was called Struggle.]}

Where are the horror movies about people? The people hiding under your vehicle in the dead of night, waiting to slit your ankles? The man outside your window? The jealous lover that traps you in the attic and peels your skin off little by little with a grapefruit spoon? Where are THOSE movies?

[ Souji takes the box and flips it over to the back, reading its synopsis. Uh, what an interesting movie? ]

Are all of these movies about Pokemon?

Apperantly. I picked up a few with people but all of them involve pokemon in some way or another. Pokemon can be scary but...not these movies.

We may have to call off the horror marathon.

_{[Still with the box over his face. Classy.]}

There are horror movies here? Really?

[She looks so excited at first. Then she pouts.]

And there aren't any good ones?

Not that I've found anyway. And Halloween gets closer every single day.

Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

But you need good horror movies on Halloween. It's got to be one of the laws of the season.

And if it isn't, I'm making it one now.

I know. that's why I'm so upset.

I didn't really get to do Halloween last year because I was so swept up in everything here being new...and then the world glitched and it wasn't very fun for anyone. But this year I wanted to do it right. It's hopeless.

This is a crisis. An emergency.

There will be several things to do in town on Halloween but this was the one thing I wanted to do for everyone in the house. This is the first place I've really lived in a while.

_{[It's in everybody's best interest that Jack stick to kind gestures like this instead of trying to cook again.]}

If you run across any in the stores on your journey, could you be so kind as to call me and tell me the title? You seem to know what Halloween is all about.

I should get a Ghost Type some time. They'd know how to find the spookier things. But, I'll make it a mission to find the scary ones. They've got to be around here somewhere. It can't be that there isn't a single scary one in all of Johto.

[She smiles at him.]

Halloween is my favorite holiday. It deserves the proper treatment.

I don't know about that. I have a Driftloon and he's...he's just a little bit useless. But it couldn't hurt to ask him. Speaking of Ghost pokemon, stay out of the tower in Violet. The pokemon there are violent and they'll drag you up and down the stairs.

... I thought Night of the Living Gloom was pretty good, but I don't know if that's out on DVD yet.

I haven't found any real good ones... They all sort of lose something when they have pokemon actors.
